The 5 Best Mosquito Control Experts in Jacksonville Who Keep the Buzz Off

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Treatment Methods - We checked out the treatment methods and made sure each company goes beyond just spraying your yard. We gave extra points to the ones who target mosquito breeding spots to help stop the problem at its source.

Plan Flexibility - Since everyone’s backyard needs are different, we looked at plan flexibility too. We liked companies that offer both single treatments for big events and regular plans for all-season protection.

Product Safety - Safety is big when it comes to spraying around your home. We looked for businesses with eco-friendly products or EPA-approved formulas, so you and your pets stay safe.

Local Experience - Local experience really matters in Northeast Florida’s long mosquito season. That’s why we focused on teams that know the area well and understand how local weather and breeding patterns affect pests.

Staying indoors because of pesky mosquitoes isn’t anyone’s idea of a fun summer. While standard pest control can deal with everyday bugs, mosquitoes sometimes need more specialized solutions.

That’s why finding the best mosquito control experts in Jacksonville is the simplest way to take back your patio, protect your pets, and keep your family safe from itchy bites. Luckily, Jacksonville has some great local options to help you out.

A lot of these companies also handle other backyard problems, like animal control, along with bug treatments. Without further ado, meet our trusted teams below so you can pick the one that’s right for you!

Jacksonville Mosquito Control is a city-run program that’s been helping all of Duval County since 1957.

They use an Integrated Mosquito Management plan, which means they combine things like surveillance traps and natural controls to deal with mosquitoes in a smarter way.

Their team checks sixteen permanent traps every day, so they’re on top of any pest outbreaks in local neighborhoods.

If you notice more mosquitoes at your place, you can even ask for a free inspection.

But you can’t just call and have your yard sprayed right away. Instead, an inspector needs to check out the problem first, or several neighbors have to report issues before the city steps in for treatment.

Pros

  • Free inspections for residents
  • Decades of regional expertise
  • Surveillance-based treatment decisions
  • Eco-friendly biological control methods

Cons

  • No instant yard treatments; inspector verification required first

Mission Pest Solutions stands out as a veteran-owned and locally operated Jacksonville business with over three decades of local experience.

They start every service with a thorough property check to find hidden breeding grounds before using specialized backpack foggers on active hotspots.

They even offer green formulas made with natural essential oils to protect your pets.

We spoke directly with one of their technicians last week, and he explained how they tailor their fogging to target exact resting zones.

However, their initial service rates can be a bit higher than other options. Additionally, you should review the recurring service terms carefully to avoid unexpected contract commitments.

Pros

  • Veteran-owned local business
  • Targeted backpack fogging
  • Natural essential oil products
  • Free upfront property inspections

Cons

  • Higher initial service rates
  • Confusing recurring service terms

Mosquito service was good

Mission Pest Control have done a great job with their service.  Quick, efficient, on time, and always courteous.  Haven’t seen any pests in the home, and mosquito service was good (wish neighbors had the mosquito service too to make it more effective)

But overall, Mission pest has done a great job servicing our home.

Extremely professional, responsive to needs, and respectful of our time

It normally takes me several years to find good contractors and service companies.  I’ve found that the really good ones are outnumbered by the bad or subpar.  Mission Pest was one of the first that I hired when we moved to Jacksonville, and I couldn’t be more pleased.  They are extremely professional, responsive to needs, and respectful of our time.  I would recommend them 100%.  Of everyone that we’ve worked with in the last year, they are one of the best.

Note- we have them for termite, mosquito, and general pests/insects.

If you want to enjoy your backyard year-round, having a reliable maintenance plan really makes a difference.

Fortunately, McCall Pest & Wildlife in Jacksonville offers a monthly Green Mosquito Control Program that uses formulas made from flowers and bacteria, so you get gentle, eco-friendly protection.

They target both mosquito larvae and adults, and their team works hard to spot and treat any standing water around your yard with larvicides. This helps stop new mosquitoes from hatching.

And when the problem gets tough, they bring in the advanced In2Care system, which is specifically designed to break the mosquito breeding cycle.

In fact, one homeowner mentioned they saw a huge drop in mosquitoes after a couple of months.

The only catch is that this system needs those monthly visits to keep working, so it’s not the best pick if you only want a quick fix now and then.

Pros

  • Eco-friendly, gentle treatment formulas
  • Targets larvae and adult mosquitoes
  • Optional advanced In2Care traps
  • Focuses on stopping breeding sources

Cons

  • Requires ongoing monthly commitment
  • No one-time treatment option

Has serviced my homes for many years

Haley services both my properties then provides a report with what was done and any concerns she finds. McCall has serviced my homes for many years and I’m totally satisfied with the results.

Bill a is a great service guy. He’s friendly, courteous, and very capable. Called ahead before arriving and was very thorough conducting the annual inspection report. Received that report within minutes of his completion. Thanks so much Bill!

Our colleague hired them to treat his back patio before a family cookout, and he said their team arrived right on schedule.

Cons

Got me set up with mosquito protection!

George did a great job doing the applications on my house and also got me set up with mosquito protection! Awesome service and have continued to be bug and pest free since using their services!

Super nice and professional

Quentin was great! He was super nice and professional. Very friendly. He knew a lot about the bugs in the area and did a good job treating the house. He was a quick. They do one initial visit just inside where you can be in the house it’s all dry stuff no spray. Then he sprayed all over the outside.

Can’t ask for better service

Steve does great job on our yard exterminating mosquitos. My 5 year old granddaughter can play outside in the backyard and not get bit by mosquitos.

Any problems that come up withbetween scheduled visits, I call Steve  and he is here to fix the problem. You can’t ask for better service. Thanks again Steve and Orkin for caring and providing great service.

Very thorough

Even though we don’t have our favorite technician, Kaila, today, Andrew did a fabulous job in her stead. Andrew was very thorough and not only listened to our concerns, but addressed them as he serviced our home.

Thank you, Andrew!
