5 Best Mattresses in Jacksonville to Upgrade Your Sleep

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Product Selection: A great shop carries multiple types of beds to suit different sleepers. You should easily find a solid mix of memory foam, traditional innerspring, and hybrid models.

Overall Value: We checked if the store offers highly competitive prices compared to national averages. Good payment options and fair price matching show that the business truly respects your budget.

Customer Service: Pushy salespeople absolutely ruin the buying process for most casual shoppers. A helpful sales team should guide you smoothly without ignoring your specific sleeping habits and physical needs.

Store Policies: Favorable return windows make a huge difference when making a big purchase. Free delivery options and solid sleep trials reduce your risk of serious buyer's remorse.

Shopping Environment: Clean and organized showrooms help reduce stress while testing out different mattresses. A welcoming atmosphere makes the entire shopping experience feel much less intimidating for new buyers.

For a while, I wondered if hypnotherapy might finally fix my insomnia. Turns out, my lumpy mattress was the one messing with my head!

That sent me hunting for the best mattresses in Jacksonville without getting steamrolled by a pushy sales pitch. I wanted fair prices, solid support, and a bed that didn’t feel like a sack of potatoes.

I checked out big warehouses, local dealers, and smaller family-run shops around town. Whether you need back support, a budget twin, or a serious bedroom upgrade, these spots are worth a look.

How much do mattresses cost in Jacksonville?

Mattresses in Jacksonville can cost anywhere from $59 to $4,399+. Your final price depends on the size, brand, materials, and where you shop.

Basic twin mattresses from discount liquidators start at around $59 to $90. Basic queen options usually run from $99 to $125.

Bed-in-a-box mattresses at big-box stores are another budget-friendly choice. These typically cost around $65 to $249.

For a queen from a standard brand outlet, expect to spend about $1,049 to $1,899. These often sit in the mid-range for comfort and construction.

Premium queen mattresses can cost $2,999 to $4,399+. Luxury materials, advanced support systems, and higher-end brands usually push prices up.

1. Mattress Firm Outlet – Regency

Hours: Monday–Saturday: 10 AM–8 PM; Sunday: 10 AM–6 PM

Mattress Firm Outlet – Regency is the kind of place I’d visit when I want plenty of choices without driving all over Jacksonville.

You’ll find major mattress brands here, with outlet and sale options mixed into the lineup.

I like that there’s enough variety for everything from a kid’s twin to a roomy king. Delivery deals can sweeten the purchase too, though availability depends on the mattress and promotion.

The 120-night sleep trial sounds reassuring at first, especially if you’re picky about firmness. Just remember there’s a 30-night adjustment period, and eligible returns or exchanges can come with a $149 fee.

The catch is especially important for bargain hunters. Clearance, outlet, preowned, floor, and display mattresses aren’t covered by that 120-night trial.

Pros

  •
  • Outlet and sale options available
  •
  • Delivery promotions may be available
  • 120-night sleep trial on eligible mattresses

Cons

  •
  • 30-night adjustment period before returns
  • Clearance, outlet, preowned, floor, and display mattresses are excluded from the sleep trial

We are returning customers and always walk away with a new mattress

We are returning customers and always walk away with a new mattress. Salesman Ehson is professional, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. He took the time to show us every option within our budget and never made us feel rushed. His detailed explanations about each mattress helped us make the right decision with confidence. He is a wonderful asset to the Mattress Firm team because he genuinely cares about helping customers rather than just making a sale. Thank you, Ehson, for your outstanding service, and thank you to Mattress Firm for having such a wonderful employee on your team.

Togo was very helpful in showing us all the different features of mattresses. He was very understanding and knowledgeable and made sure that I found a mattress that was exactly what I was looking for. His patience in ensuring that I found something that provided me with the best support and also within my price range made a whole day of mattress shopping feel like a success. It was so wonderful knowing that I bought a mattress that I would love that was right for me.

2. Jaxmattress.Com

Website

Address: 5250 Bowden Rd, Ste 201

Contact: (904) 477-4641; [email protected]

Hours: Monday–Friday: 10 AM–6 PM; Saturday: 10 AM–3 PM; Sunday by appointment only

Jaxmattress.Com feels like a good antidote to the giant showroom maze. It’s family-owned, Jacksonville-based, and focused on keeping mattress shopping fairly straightforward.

I like that same-day local delivery is available on eligible in-stock items. That’s handy when your current mattress has already declared war on your back.

The store carries mattresses alongside other home furnishings, so you’ve got more than beds to browse. Financing options are available too, though approval and terms depend on the provider.

The main drawback is Sunday access, since you’ll need an appointment rather than simply wandering in.

Same-day delivery isn’t guaranteed either, as stock and route availability can affect timing.

Pros

  • Family-owned Jacksonville business
  • Same-day local delivery on eligible in-stock items
  • Straightforward, lower-key shopping experience
  • Mattresses plus other home furnishings
  • Financing options available

Cons

  •
  • Same-day delivery depends on stock and route availability

Excellent Service!!

Excellent Service!! I received a queen mattress set within a couple of hours after I called. The mattress was inexpensive, and the quality is excellent. I will definitely be using their services again and will recommend to others.

I’ve recommended to all friends and family

I’ve worked with over 7 different mattress companies before my move, and Jax Mattress on Bowden is the only company I’ll work with moving forward. Todd was exceptional at finding a soft & plush queen mattress + box spring within my budget (brand new), including shipping. The delivery was on time, accurate, courteous, and safe (considering COVID). So happy with my purchase and the level of customer service I’ve received. I’ve recommended it to all friends and family.

3. BEDS BEDS BEDS

Website

Address: 9843 Beach Blvd

Contact: (904) 646-1410

Hours: Monday–Friday: 10 AM–6 PM; Saturday: 10 AM–5 PM; Sunday: 1 PM–5 PM

BEDS BEDS BEDS has been around Jacksonville since 1974, and it leans hard into the bargain-hunting side of mattress shopping.

I like that it’s family-owned and advertises savings of roughly 50% to 70% off retail.

The lower prices come from closeouts, overstocks, discontinued covers, and mattresses with minor warehouse blemishes. Same-day delivery and no-credit-check financing can make the deal even easier to pull off.

One quirky perk I appreciate is that you can call if you’re running late and they may stay open for you. That’s a nice touch when Jacksonville traffic decides to test your patience.

The trade-off is that outlet inventory can be unpredictable if you want one exact current model.

Some discounted mattresses may have cosmetic blemishes too, so inspect what you’re buying carefully.

Pros

  • Family-owned Jacksonville business since 1974
  • Advertises savings of roughly 50%–70% off retail
  • Same-day delivery available
  • No-credit-check financing offered
  • May stay open later if you call ahead

Cons

  • Outlet inventory can be unpredictable
  • Some mattresses may have minor cosmetic blemishes
  • Specific newer models may not always be available

Never been more excited for my next sleep

Glen was very helpful and made the process so easy! We explained what we were looking for and he guided us to the perfect mattress! Would recommend this place for your mattress needs. 20/10. Never been more excited for my next sleep.

Will be buying our mattresses from them here on out

Very helpful. Saved over $2,000 compared to a big chain store. They even wrapped our mattress with the second layer because they thought it might rain today and they didn’t know if I was coming with an open trailer or a truck bed. Will be buying our mattresses from them here on out.

4. Jacksonville Bedding, Mattresses & More

Website

Address: 10059-1 San Jose Blvd

Contact: (904) 801-5425; [email protected]

Hours: Monday–Friday: 10 AM–7 PM; Saturday: 10 AM–6 PM; Sunday: 11 AM–5 PM

Jacksonville Bedding, Mattresses & More takes a more personal route than just pointing you toward a wall of beds.

The team brings 30-plus years of industry experience and uses a mattress-matching quiz to narrow things down.

I like that they factor in sleep style, body type, comfort, support, and budget. That’s handy if every mattress starts feeling exactly the same after five minutes.

The showroom carries well-known brands like Tempur-Pedic, Sealy, Helix, and Casper. You’ll find pillows, bedding, and adjustable bases here too, so it’s easy to tackle more than just the mattress.

The main drawback is price, since some premium models can climb well into the thousands. Budget shoppers may need to sift through the options carefully to stay within range.

Pros

  • Personalized mattress-matching guidance
  • Team has 30+ years of industry experience
  •
  • Sells pillows, bedding, and adjustable bases too
  • Considers sleep style, comfort, support, and budget

Cons

  • Some premium models cost several thousand dollars/budget shoppers may need to compare options carefully

I would highly recommend this store for all of your mattress needs

I would highly recommend this store for all of your mattress needs. Tara is excellent to work with. She will help with finding the right mattress for you. The whole staff was great

to work with, even the team that came to do the delivery. They made sure that everything was perfect. I felt that all of the people that work with Tara really cared. This was a very pleasant shopping experience.

I would highly recommend this business for their service and great selection

Tara was wonderful to work with. When we didn’t love our first mattress, she helped us find another mattress and worked with us on our return. She was so accommodating and helpful that my parents have promised to return to her business when they’re furnishing their new house in a few months. I would highly recommend this business for their service and great selection of mattresses.

5. Call A Mattress

Website

Address: 6033 Beach Blvd

Contact: (904) 721-5081

Hours: Monday–Saturday: 10 AM–7 PM; Sunday: 11 AM–5 PM

Call A Mattress is a solid pick if you want more flexibility than the usual brand-new-only showroom.

I like that they carry both new and gently used mattresses, with each one inspected for quality and cleanliness.

Their sleep specialists can help narrow down the right support level without turning the visit into a guessing game. Same-day delivery within 25 miles is a nice perk when your old mattress has officially overstayed its welcome.

New mattresses come with a 30-day trial, which gives you some breathing room after purchase. That’s especially helpful if showroom comfort doesn’t quite match real-life sleep.

The catch is that the 30-day trial is advertised for new mattresses, not pre-owned ones. Sunday hours start later at 11 AM too, so weekend timing takes a little planning.

Pros

  • Carries both new and gently used mattresses
  • Mattresses are inspected for quality and cleanliness
  •
  • Same-day delivery within a 25-mile radius
  • 30-day trial offered on new mattresses

Cons

  • 30-day trial doesn’t appear to cover pre-owned mattresses
  • Sunday opening is later at 11 AM

What a wonderful buying experience

What a wonderful buying experience. From beginning to end. The window says name-brand mattresses at discount prices, and boy did they live up to it. Justin (owner) was extremely accommodating. Very knowledgeable and quick to answer any questions I had. I purchased a Beautyrest Black queen-size mattress at an unbelievable price. Delivery was scheduled for the next day and was delivered on time. Justin helps out with the deliveries, and his attention to detail is to be admired. Talk about white-glove treatment and delivery.

Great place for a mattress

Great place for a mattress. Good selection of used mattresses that still have good life left in them and a great price. Staff is very knowledgeable about the different types and will steer you away from the lower quality mattresses. If something is bad, they will tell you and I appreciate the honesty when all mattresses looks the same to me. I picked up 4 last week at a price cheaper than a single new one at a regular mattress store.
